Juno plans to publish a dedicated recipe for every flavor, but only Chocolate has a final verified formula today. The product pages for Vanilla, Strawberry, Cookies & Cream, Mint Chip, Salted Caramel, and Mango use clearly labeled estimates while production formulas are completed. This roadmap explains what each recipe must prove before Juno presents it as final.
Current recipe status
| Flavor | Status | Recipe work before final publication |
|---|---|---|
| Chocolate | Verified formula and recipe published | Continue repeat-batch and storage checks |
| Vanilla | Estimate; final formula pending | Establish a neutral texture benchmark and cold flavor intensity |
| Strawberry | Estimate; final formula pending | Balance fruit form, water, acidity, color, and texture |
| Cookies & Cream | Estimate; final formula pending | Set cookie amount, piece size, and Mix-In timing |
| Mint Chip | Estimate; final formula pending | Set mint strength and chip size without a waxy or hard bite |
| Salted Caramel | Estimate; final formula pending | Balance caramel depth, sweetness, salt, and frozen softness |
| Mango | Estimate; final formula pending | Balance fruit solids, acidity, water, aroma, and color |
The standard every recipe must meet
- Final production formula. The ingredients and amounts must match the product customers receive.
- Approved label. Nutrition, allergens, serving size, and ingredient order must be verified.
- Repeatable preparation. Multiple pints should succeed with the stated liquid, freeze time, and program.
- Failure instructions. The page should say when to Re-Spin, when a small amount of liquid is appropriate, and what not to do.
- Original photography. The finished pint and important steps should show the actual production formula.
- Substitution boundaries. Alternative milks and mix-ins must be labeled as tests or variations, not silently included in base nutrition.
How each flavor changes the test
Vanilla: the control
Without cocoa, fruit, cookie pieces, or chips to dominate the result, Vanilla can expose dairy flavor, sweetness, gumminess, and iciness. It should become the clean comparison base for later flavors.
Strawberry and Mango: fruit is part of the formula
Fresh fruit, purée, juice powder, and freeze-dried fruit bring different amounts of water, sugar, acid, fiber, and aroma. The final recipes must name the form and weight rather than saying “add fruit to taste.”
Cookies & Cream and Mint Chip: base first, pieces second
These recipes need both a successful base and a controlled Mix-In step. Piece size matters because frozen chunks can become harder than expected. The published nutrition must distinguish the base from optional extra mix-ins.
Salted Caramel: sweetness and salt move together
Cold suppresses flavor perception, while caramel ingredients can alter solids and freezing behavior. The recipe needs a defined salt level and a tested caramel system, not a room-temperature taste guess.
What we can publish now
The verified Chocolate Protein Ice Cream recipe is live now. The six unfinished flavors can responsibly have product pages, flavor descriptions, estimated label fields, and test plans. They should not yet have invented gram amounts, final nutrition, or claims that a recipe was tested.
What happens when a flavor is finalized
- Replace estimated product fields with approved values.
- Publish a dedicated, crawlable recipe page with Recipe structured data.
- Add the recipe to the guide hub and XML sitemap.
- Link the flavor product page and recipe in both directions.
- Record the formula version and publication date so future changes are visible.
This page is intentionally a roadmap. Final flavor recipes will appear only after the production formula, label, method, and photographs agree.
